We moved to Mayberry Campground in Mt Airy (Mayberry USA) today. Very nice park, $12.50 per night, full 50 amp hookup. This morning we had frost in Advance, NC. We expect frost here tomorrow morning. The sky was absolutely clear all day, high temp 62 degrees. We had a campfire tonight.
We are camped within 100 yards of the home of Eng and Chang Bunker, the original Siamese twins. They were both married and had children even tho they were joined at the waist forever. The camp owners are 3rd and 4th generation descendants of them.
Mt Airy is the home place of Andy Griffith and Donna Fargo. Before we leave we will visit different places dedicated to both of them. We were planning to leave Thur but may stay longer.
