Finally I can write a new blog. I lost my phone on a Friday a few weeks ago with pictures I  was going to post. The following Sunday, my computer crashed. I now have a new phone and new computer.

I will start this blog but will have to post it when we get to our next place. The internet is very slow here and would take forever to upload pictures.
 We spent  a couple of weeks in Lexington, NC. While there we ate some good bar-b-que at the Tarheel-Q, a locally owned place. We also visited some friends in Winston Salem, NC and went out to Waldo's Wings for supper.

We left there and went to Mount Airy, NC.

We saw Barney driving the police car,

Visited the Andy Griffith Museum,

saw Opie and Andy in bronze.


Our friends from Winston Salem visited us and we had the "world famous" pork lion sandwich at Scrappy's Diner.



From there we went to Lynchburg, VA.
 

Luckily there we had a very nice slot, good shade, clear satellite, privacy and very quiet.

The weather was really crazy. The first 3 days the high temp was 85 and low humidity. Very nice. Then, over night the high was in triple digits. During the 2 weeks there, we had 4 triple digit days. All were record highs for that date. We also had 2 storms go thru that knocked down trees.

Not much there except Appomattox, and we have been there.

Now we are in Gettysburg and will do some sightseeing.
