Sedona area

Today we decided to see Sedona from the air. Sedona is call the Red Rock country. The area has many rock formations.

 One of the neat things about Sedona is that all the building blend into the background. They must use tons of that redish colored paint.

One of the most noted rocks is Chimney Rock. It is near town and even has a street named after it.

Humphrey's Peak 28 miles away near Flagstaff. It is the highest point in Arizona.

There was still snow on the ground in the canyons

and Mesa's


We also flew through canyons that have very little access. We saw ancient Indian ruins that were in excellent shape. Could not get decent pictures.

Monday we leave Verde Valley, Az for Palm Springs, CA. It is starting to get cold here.
